FAQ

Common questions

Your server address is shown in the Dashboard on the Console page, and it looks like ca-east.micronode.ca:25565. In Minecraft, open Multiplayer → Add Server and paste it in. For Rust, search the in-game server browser or use the Connect button in Steam.

First, check the console in your Dashboard for red error lines. Common causes:
  • Out of memory: upgrade your plan or reduce the player/view distance
  • Corrupted world: restore from a backup in the Backups tab
  • Bad plugin/mod: remove recently added files via the Files tab
If none of those apply, open a ticket and paste the last 20 lines of your console.

Go to the Files tab in your Dashboard.
  • Plugins (Paper/Spigot): Upload .jar files into the /plugins folder, then restart the server.
  • Mods (Forge/Fabric): Upload .jar files into the /mods folder, then restart.
  • Modpacks: Contact support and we can help set up a custom modpack egg.

In the Console tab of your Dashboard, type commands directly:
whitelist add PlayerName
op PlayerName
Or enable the whitelist with whitelist on. You can also edit whitelist.json and ops.json directly in the Files tab.

Log in to the Shop at billing.micronode.ca, go to your active services, and select upgrade or downgrade. Changes apply immediately and are prorated. Your world data is always preserved.

Open the Backups tab in your Dashboard. You'll see a list of automatic daily backups. Click the three-dot menu on any backup and choose Restore. Stop your server first, as the restore will overwrite your current world files.

We offer refunds within 72 hours of your first payment if you haven't been able to get your server working and our support team couldn't resolve the issue. Email [email protected] with your order number.

Your Rust plan comes with uMod pre-installed. Go to the Files tab and upload .cs plugin files to /oxide/plugins. The server will hot-load them without a full restart. You can also run oxide.reload PluginName from the console.
